Villa Pandolfi Elmi was built in the years immediately
preceding 1746. In fact, to this date dates the first entry in the register of masses celebrated in the adjoining chapel dedicated to St. Paschal Baylon.
It probably originated as the residence of some Monsignor who had retired to the countryside of Spello. Through various legacies and successions ,the Villa came to Count Severino Pandolfi Elmi of Foligno in the late 19th century, who used the Villa as a
country house, especially in the summer months, in order to follow the
most important agricultural work, namely the reaping of wheat, the harvesting of grapes and olives with the subsequent production of wine and extra virgin olive oil, the true wealth of the hills of Spello.
In 1950 ,the year of their marriage, Rosella Pandolfi Elmi and Oliviero Tacconi transformed the Villa into their home . In the following years the current owners of the Villa Fabrizio ,Grazia and Stefano were born and live here.
Even after the family moved to Rome, the Spello mansion has been and remains an important reference point, not only for the family, but also for the entire Spello community.
Since 2015, a part of the Villa has been used as a B&B, keeping, however, its appearance as an 18th-century historic home and continuing the Pandolfi Elmi family's familiar tradition of great hospitality.
All guests are welcomed as such, but a great many then leave as true friends.
And this is the most beautiful result.
